My suggestion would be a Sony Playstation Portable (PSP), loads of my friends have highly commended it for it's games and movie abilities.

Agreed. I have a PSP and it's great.

Has he seen ran, by akiru kuwasowa, it a good samuria movie. It's in colour but most of his samuria films are in black & white. Great film. He also did seven samuria, sanjuro, throne of blood. Bit of a master at samuria films, if he hasn't heard of him he's in for a treat.
