What if prices rise mid switchover?

I don't know if this has been discussed before...

Where do you stand if you are in the middle of switching (after 7 day cooling period but before the switchover is complete), and the new supplier increases the price?

I am in the horrid situation. Was on EDF and switched to online 5 with BG before BG announced massive hike too.

They cannily haven't announced the rise for that tariff yet so I can't compare.
(A paranoid person might say that they have loads of switchovers from EDF pending and they are waiting for end of cooling off periods before they hike the price!)

I have tomorrow (friday) left to cancel through cooling off period.

I'm sure I'm not the only one in this situation?

I'm not sure if the suppliers have to honour; I don't think nPower are, don't know about BG!

    What do you mean?

That means they could give you any old tariff when you switch?

You can always switch away again when the grass is greener somewhere else.
