Fuel Cards for private motorists

johnson oils offered a fuelcard for private drivers. no interest, direct debit on a friday. I had one for autogas and was getting it for 32.9p/ltr when forecourt price was 42.9p/ltr
that was a few years ago so i dont know what the terms are now.

Sorry to drag up an old thread, but does anyone have any experience with fuel cards in Australia?

About to set off around the country (woot!) and want to keep all the fuel costs together...

Been looking at Motorpass does anyone have any experience with these guys?

you cant get a fuel card from a supplier, my wife drives all over the country doing about 4000 miles a month. what we have done is get a tesco credit card, pay it off every month. the benefits here are:

1) you get triple clubcard points on it (if you fill up at tesco)

2) you pay off every month so no interest

if you fill up else where you still get 1 point for every £ you spend on it, thats better than filling up at tesco where you only 1 point per £2 spend in there garage if you pay cash.

best offer we could come up with and ive spent a few hrs searching for private use fuel cards. :beer:

I have an ASDA credit card, the previous version gave first 2p/litre then 1p/Litre off at the pump.

I've switched to the new ASDA credit card. this gives 1% off fuel at ASDA or .5% elsewhere.

so it seems the credit card is the way to go then
