Direct Debit or not!
Am with BG dual fuel and have missed capping before yesterdays rise.
I have always paid cash at the Post Office when paying these bills but then heard yesterday that it is a cheaper tarriff if you pay by Direct Debit. However, today on TV it said the opposite - could someone clear this up for me?
Also, reading some of the posts about leaving water on all day or not! I put mine on full blast for as short a time as possible but, I always leave 1 radiator on. (Was told to when it was installed years ago.) Some sort of safety thing. Is this neccessary?
What is that other tarriff - forgot name - something 5? (dual fuel)

BG offer a discount for paying by Direct debit.
Their cheapest account is Click 5 which is a dual fuel internet account where you pay by DD and get your bills on line as well as send in your meter readings.
Click 5 did not go up in the latest round of increases, but it is just a matter of time. They will probably introduce Click 6.
Can't think of any reason why you would leave a radiator on in summer. You might be getting confused with not having a TRV(Thermostatic Radiator Valve) fitted to one radiator on some older CH systems.0
