Received a letter (well order form) from European City Guide today. Basically asking you to confrim your details to be added to their business directory.

A quick google - and it's a scam. They don't tell you the costs but will bill you at a later date if you sign and return the form.

The company is based in Valencia, if you're feeling mean use the prepaid return envelope to dispose of your desktop rubbish.....

This is another variation of an old scam. Some even threaten companies if they don't pay up after saying someone in he company agreed to the ad. As I said recently never sign or pay these random invoices/faxes. Any legitimate company will not just send out of the blue such paperwork. Remember no matter what they say they have to prove you've agreed to the advertising and fully understand it if they threaten court action

Register your mail address with mps and this will cut out a lot of crap.

I got that letter too and they do tell you the price, it's "only" 987 Euro, but for that you get the CDrom for free - whoppee ,well worth it - not!!!!! :rolleyes:
