Tried to make a payment & I'm confused!

The first guy (who sounded as if he was in an English call centre) I spoke to who told me about being able to pay over the phone using my debit card said it didn't matter who the card was with.
I've not paid Barclaycard by phone, but I'm pretty sure you have to register first before you can use the automated telephone service

Not entirely sure about their procedures, but Barclaycard should have the call recorded when they told you that the cheque payment would be fine. If they do charge you, I'd imagine a sniffy letter should get that fee back for you.
And if you can at all avoid it, their call centres are dreadful and pretty much all based abroad from my experience with them.DFW - DEBT FREEEEEE!

I gave the automated system another go this morning & it all worked fine, no problems at all & I paid it in full.
I'm thinking thatere has been some fault with the automated system, when I tried again last night it did'nt even ask for the debit card details & put me straight through to the indian call centre. The bloke who answered went to check if the system was working & he never came back to me!
Anyway it seems to have worked now & I have a reference number to back it up, just remains to be seen if it's in time to avoid a late payment fee.
Thanks all for your help, Kev.0 -
Just ensure you send your payment in 5 working days (at the latest) before the bill is due!0
