    you could try a puncture repair outfit
    or I remember having a tube of black stuff called liquid rubber that I bought in halfords years ago.

    ... my X worked on a farm and out of desperation, I told him to do that. Worked a treat (until he trod on a lump of wood with a rather large nail sticking up it ... he was mortified when he was taken to casualty and they peeled off his boot, plastic bag, socks :rotfl: the nurses ribbed him rotten :D:D:D )
