I know it sound like a strange question but....has anyone got any ideas how to repair an almost new pair of leaky wellies?
They have both spilt on the seam where the boot creases as you walk so it would have to be a durable solution.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Please help keep my feet dry!
Thanks!!!

If they're almost new, I'd take them back to wherever you got them from.
Leaky wellies can't be classed as 'fit for purpose' by any stretch of the imagination.0 -
I would take them back if they are new. I remember my father mending his wellygogs with a puncture repair kit after he put the tine of his gardening fork through one, he wore them for at least another 30 years so it must have worked. If taking them back isn't an option, I mended my mum's wellies with a couple of spreadings of clear silicon sealant. She's still wearing them and that was a couple of years ago!0

if we had leaky wellies as a child we used a carrier bag as a liner :rotfl:
Not thought about that in years.

Thanks for the responses guys! I bought them from eBay from someone who had left them new and boxed for 2 yrs so returning them isnt an option. I have even tried sending them back to the manufacturer but they are a discontinued boot.
The silicon sounds like an interesting option any other remedies would be welcomed... Thanks!0 -
Well silicon sealant repaired my leaking dishwasher so I think if it can do that you will be in luck with your wellies. It does "move" a bit-gives-so this should help as boots have movement. Its great stuff!Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0

Well if all else fails, and they have split where I think you mean....you can cut them down to make a pair of those trendy garden clogs, very useful for popping out to the washing line, or the compost bin. Of course you will need another pair of non-leaky wellies, but at least you can still get some use out of them?
To cut wellies down, use a piece of masking tape to make the line across the foot (if you have a pair of clogs to compare to it will help) then draw a line on them with a biro, leave a little cup sticking up at the back for your heel. They will cut with an ordinary pair of sharpish scissors.
