just spent over two hours trying to cap my energy prices, thought I was on to a winner when my current provider offered a fixed price until 2009. Then I got to checking the prices and basically what I was being offered was a new increased price and the removal of my on line discount, which by my maths based on my last bill would be a 28% increase over all. Tried to contact a few other enery suppliers and they are either engaged or their sites are running slow (although that could be my pc). So I have given up stayed on my current rate!!! at least I will get the discount for a little while longer. I am fed up and worried about our old folk! unlike the government and the energy suppliers.

Same with e-on, I enquired about it being capped but as Im already on the best online discount scheme its not worth it. I will be paying a lot more if it was capped than I will pay if I stay on the discount im on now
