Thanks Lilmissup
I started saving in January 2007 before I moved house but didn't start making overpayments until just over a year ago. I know its sad but I love it, I'm rarely tempted to have a spending blitz, I'm much happier seeing another month disappear

Well if you can knock off 5 years in a 1 year that 10 years will be gone in another 2 Maybe!
I will be debt free in 20 days and can't wait to start saving for a house deposit, i feel so guilty spending lol.Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
Oh if only !!! Unfortunately every pound I overpay is having less and less impact on the interest owed, when I first started each pound I overpaid saved me about 3 times that amount in future interest payments, now for every pound I overpay it saves me just under 2 times that amount. But it is all still saving me money and its getting me nearer that day when it will be gone for good
