    Right guys, I think I'm back to my dfw-best ..... ;)

I finally sorted out my phone contract, I am one of those people who doesn't need an all-singing / all-dancing phone, just a basic one that lets me call and text, so .....

    I have ordered a new phone: 300 minutes a month / 200 texts a month, free handset, 12 month contract, costs £30 a month (total = £360 for the year) ... cashback from dialaphone = £288 plus quidco cashback = £60 so ....

    £360 - £288 - £60 = £12 for a years contract :j:j

Even the lady at O2 admitted she couldn't better that when I rang to cancel my old contract :rotfl::rotfl: :D:D:D

And I'm only tied in for 12 months then I can do it all over again :T :T

    That's fantastic BB! well done.

edit - sorry just read back and saw the bit about your dad. Really sorry to hear that, a couple of my friends got great support from Alzehiemiers (sp sorry) Scotland, maybe there's similar near you. although I realise there are many different types of dementia there may be somewhere your mum can talk to people going through the same thing without feeling selfish or foolish.

Thanks SS, my mum and I are fairly sure it is dementia but the rest of the family think its all down to the medication he's on. I think that may be making it worse but unfortunately Alzhemiers does run in the family and he's been like it for a while even though his medication has changed several times :o:o He's definitely got worse recently though :o

Big hugs to you & your mum ref your dad - my FIL had a stroke about 2 years ago which brought on memory loss. He was diagnosed as having Parkinsons. In November, he had a major stroke and now has dementia - no short term memory at all. Due to MILs health, my FIL has had to be put into a home. It is very hard on the family around him.

Big hugs to you benben -I've been where your family are now and it's bloody tough. Seeing a parent change like that is so difficut. Denial from other family members doesn't help either.
Off to pack as away for a few days -flying out of T4 tomorrow so a bit of a trip down memory lane ;) In proper DFW style breakfast is a MS so ultimately free

I'm back from the dentist, I thought it would just be a checkup then she'd tell me the damage and make another appointment, but the person before me had cancelled so I went in a bit early and she said she'd put some medication in my bad tooth but I think she's filled it, she gave me an injection and did the drilling and stuff, maybe its a temporary one I'm not sure but she didn't say she's got to do anymore to it so I think shes done it :D Hence I'm dribbling everywhere now :o I popped into sainsurys on the way back to get some paracetamol and bumped into 3 people I knew, typical

Duchy - have a lovely time, I think t4 has changed a lot since we were there, well done on the ms too ;)

Milly - go via quidco and then on dialaphones site click the free gifts bit and choose cashback or automatic cashback and the deals come up on there.

I'm measuring up for a new sofa today ....
