I ned to change my tyres soon, can anyone recommend a brand to get from black circles

    Hi,

It all depends on a few factors.

What size tyres are you after and are you looking for premium, mid-range or budget tyres? (aleternativly what sort of car, how old and what sort of driving do you do or what your budget is?)

Let us know and will try to point you in the right direction.

£37 buys you the "Michelin Energy Saver" in your size at blackcircles. Long life and slightly reduced fuel consumption with good grip etc. performance.
Incidently the Pug 308 is one of the first cars fitted with these tyres at the factory.

Ah, the £37 is the excluding fitting price.

£45.52 including fitting for the Goodyear GT-2 is what I would go for due to known brand (I know Eagle F1's and NCT 5's are good on other cars) and it gets a good 5 star rating on the web site there.

    Hi,

Well, looking at fully fitted tyres at Black Circles, my choice (given age of car and that it is not a hot hatch or sports car) would be:

Dunlop SP30's at £45.98 or the Goodyears mentioned above.

    or

    Firestone Multihawk at £46.67, or

for a slightly cheaper tyre, Falken Sincera at £37.67

just my choices, others may differ.

    regards

    Pete

    Hi,

The various write ups show the Firestone Multihawk as a reasonably good mid range tyre. Firestone are actually owned by Bridgestone (who make the tyres for Formula 1 cars) so theyhave a decent pedigree and are a household name.
