Looking for help

Ok people after burrying my head in the sand I'm ready to face my cc debt but I need some help.

I'm 22 with a very small income - apx £7000 a year.

Currently I have 2 cred cards - halifax 1 and egg, with a balance of abou£800 on halifax one (I know it doesn't sound a lot but it is to me)

I have never had a problem gaining credit until now, I have been declined for an TSB and Capital one in the last month.

I got both my free credit reports online, one is completely clear, the other shows 4late payments (15months ago) on my o2 contract - all of which were an error on o2's part and which they have compensated me for.

So now I don't knwo if I can't get a card because of my low income or because of the credit report, I kind think its the low income as I have got 2new cc in the past 15months so the mark would have been on the acc.

I have to start paying interest on my cc in two months and would really love some help.

Thanks - I actually feel with this web site that I have somewhere to turn

  • Generally speaking, with the exception of house buying, it is a good idea not to borrow money particularly if you have a low income.

If your sure that the late payments are mistakes then you should write to o2 and the CR comp and get it/them removed. I'll leave the rest of your queery to more experienced CC users than myself..good luck...Paul
