I trained my children to clear/wash up properly, by giving them the dishes they had considered "clean enough" On top of the DW is only acceptable whilst the machine is running, otherwise, that's your plate at the next meal :rotfl: :rotfl: Oh single mums learn to be hard :D

Did you ever serve up cold peas for breakfast the next morning? My dear Gran used to do this to train us not to waste food, well back before the microwave! (Oh Gawd I suddenly feel old!):rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I could bore you with a tale of me being made to eat cold peas.......but I won't - it is too traumatic for me to repeat :o (but it is not far off the cold peas for breakfast thing)

    Nope still here! :j

I'm finding that if you're responsible for a house, then you learn to tidy very quickly!

There's two camps, the OCD blokes where you can't leave anything around (My OH), or you have my housemate, the polar opposite... Both are pretty unsociable when doing their thing!

I fall in the middle! The bathroom is my territory, it get's messed, blood will be spilt. Same with the kitchen! But I'm not so good with my bedroom, well my half of the bedroom... there's a definite divide there!

It's a boy thing on waaaaaaaay too many levels!

  • Oh and on the parent fighting thing! It took blood sweat and tears to get my mum to house train me! Then, it was only when I had the house to myself that I would tidy!
