Ten past nine, only one post from Hypno & no squares coloured in since Friday....
Do you think she's slipping......
She couldn't be doing the 'H' word could she :eek:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Yes, thanks KC, I'm ok.....we have been doing this for so long now it is a way of life! It is one reason why I am incapable of having a lay in beyond 7am....!!
Walshyboy - I saw on the "jobs" thread that you send people over to Saudi - I spent a bit of time over there when I was a teenager as my dad worked for one of the American companies there........definitely made me grateful for the opportunities I have as a woman wanting a career....
Yeah, it isn't the easiest. It's great for the multinational company experience but as a gay man it feels like I'm stabbing all my people in the back! (I was quite political at uni so the whole being stoned to death for who are still rankles me... I don't know why!)
Women are ok as long as they stay in the expatriate compounds! The king did some decree that allowed women to wear bikinis, drive and also everyone can drink alcohol in the Aramco compounds. I'm going there myself in the new year to have a nose around and see what things are there!
But yes, bring on my next job next year for a nice financial services company based in Canary Wharf! :T:beer: Debt Free since July 2011 and it feels good!
Now it's all about finding a deposit for a house!
How do you amass £70k in a year?! :eek:0 -
Apparently I *might* get a payment before wednesday.......or I might just get a double payment on wednesday <sigh>
Good thing people don't have to rely on this money for anything important isn't it?
unless you think food/rent/bills are important?
Do they pay bank charges when incurred because of their lateness?
Did Hypno get any interest on the late payment of her tax credit?0 -

These are good questions!
Hypno, hope you're doing okay, and you have the little dongle with you to communicate a bit during the day, if you're not run off your feet constantly.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Someone has posted on the benefits board saying she's not had the money-but it doesn't bother her.........guess she'll win empathic post of the month........not ! Silly mare
No covering bank charges apparently they cover themselves somewhere in the small print that there may be a delay when awards "change". Bit subjective if this is a change or not-technically it is as DS stops been a child and becomes a young person in their eyes but there is no change in amount so to a lot of people it isn't a change.
I gather from someone who appears to work at Tax Credits posting that they are told not to mention the delay to people in advance. I know I was told the claim would just continue when I checked -No mention of this break-bloody annoying as they know about it and it affects people every year.
Good point about Hypno though-if she was told she wasn't entiltled originally and still has the letter........maybe.
Three years ago (actually exactly as it was also my birthday) I went to the cashpoint and discovered TCs had paid just over £1000 into my account as underpayment completely unexpectedly so I presume this is the time of year they do this.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
