Shaun - I agree with hypno, when you visit to a household with a new baby, *you're* the one who gets up to make the tea etc.
And I'm so sorry for the news about your knee, it sounds like you've hardly had time to think about it, let alone dwell on it, but that must be very difficult news to hear. Hope you've got someone there for you about that too.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Oh this is wonderful! Scousers have the gab, but the Irish have the poetry!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Shaun, I think my own ironing will get done at the same rate as your vestal virgins paying homage.........
OliveOyl - see....you NEED to eat chocolate. Shaun says so. So go and do it!
I have done the payday number crunching, and have paid a little more off the debt. The HSBC normal monthly payment of £170 has gone, plus an extra £100 that would previously have been paid to egg.
HSBC now stands at £6134.75Off to colour in some boxes :T

Am going to have to get some boxes! Well done on the payments :beer:0
-
Right I have boxes! Went to word and made a table - need £50K altogether (£20K odd for debts the rest as slush fund for going SE). First time round ended up miscalculating and had £500K in £50 bits (oh dear
). Was a bit demoralising to see it went on for four pages of tiny squares until I realised my mistake! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
So now I have one page of squares with DFD marked in Gold! Want to make a payment now just so I can colour something in - but better not for a day or two as things are rather tight on the bank account!
Thanks for another great motivational idea hypno!0 -
I love my squares.....I have over 4000 of them though on my sheet.........half relate to the debt that needs to be paid, half to the amount that I want to save before I think about moving house.
Needless to say, they are very small squares....but I get great satisfaction out of colouring them in, nevertheless!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
I must say I'm looking forward to colouring in my boxes next week
Perhaps I should change to weekly updates if my sig, rather than monthly....
And Hypno & Shaun?I blame you for me eating a KitKat, ruining my NSD and my KitKat free for 14 days :rotfl: And it was stale and 50 p from the machine.

Hey, OO, a kitkat is a kitkat.....stale or not. It is chocolate, that is all that matters :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

I said to my mum about the squares idea and she got so excited, she's doing one by hand. My dad can draw really well so he's doing a cruise boat and then it'll be countdown to debt free and count up to holiday money madeNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130
