Nintendo DS Wireless problem

Hi

Just trying to connect my kids nintendo ds to my wireless router but the ds is telling me that the access points security is not supported by the nintendo ds. This same unit connects to my girlfriends wireless without any problems. My broadband internet is supplied by sky (girlfriends is AOL) and my network is secure.

Anyone got any ideas?

the DS only supports the WEP security and you probably have wpa-psk (or newer). your GF's network probably has wep (or no) security and using WEP is not recommended as it can be cracked in not much time.

nintendo should really have a firmware upgrade system like the psp/wii which should allow it to connect to wpa-psk networks

You can change the router to use WEP encryption though i think, if you really want to use the wireless ds features

The DS dongle is bad enough!
