Have just bought a Blue vision Chat Pack headset and Webcam. Problem is the CD provided is very small (3inch across) and my laptop will not accept it.
I can't find any help on internet but then I'm not technically minded.
The disc says www.bluevisionworld.com but that just seems to be an out of date site with no information about webcams.
does anyone know if I can get installation from the internet. Many thanks

You can get adapters, but this is obviously not a quick solution.
Where did you buy it from? Can anyone explain to me how to put a signature here?

My sister bought it from local supermarket today - guess it will be going back.It was quite cheap so perhaps I need to get a different one. Can't see any point in buying an adaptor when it web cam cost less than a tenner.0

If you had a friend with a CD burner that will take the smaller CD, then they could duplicate it onto a large CD for you. I don't think that would infringe the copyright. Can anyone explain to me how to put a signature here?

Have you tried connecting the webcam and seeing if your operating system will automatically detect it and install either the correct driver or a generic one?0

Thanks for your suggestions. I have tries attaching camera but computer then tells me to insert the CD. Like the idea about burning onto a larger CD if I cna find someone who has computer that will accept this disc.0

What does your laptop do when you put the put disk in? Does it try to read it?
I have had a look on the web and cant see a driver specific to Bluevision, but due to the fact this page is 5th on the list when searching for blue vision chat pack I am not supprised. However all is not lost does the camera have a model number on the actual unit? Or when you plug it in does it give you one?The only way of finding the limits of the possible is by going beyond them into the impossible.

There are no serial/model numbers on the camera and nothing comes up on the computer. I have spent hours searching internet for a driver but Blue Vision does not seem to exist. (except for an out of date site.) The box says made in China and distributed from Amsterdam. Going to try friends computer at weekend to burn onton larger disc. Failing that I'll try and return it and spend a bit more for another webcam. Thanks again0

buy a decend branded cam. you cant really go wrong with logitech, and the basic webcams are stupidly cheap these days (less than a tenner)0
