Business Expansion Help Please.

Options
Hi there,

I am self employed / sole trader, and I have been for 2 years in the Graphic Design & Print business, I have been thinking about expanding my business, and doing PC Support & Repair aswell as im good with that kind of thing and when a little down on one side I can push and level out income etc.

What I wanted to ask, if I had the PC Support & Repair side under a different name, would I have to register this seperatley with the tax office / national insurance people, or would I be able to declare all earnings on my current account.

Is it possible to just add the company name onto my current account with the tax people? or do I need to set up a whole new account and do 2 lots of returns at the end of the year?

Cheers

Jody

    Hi Jody,
There's a number of answers to your question TBH. I'd speak to a local accountant about it so it's structured right for you - if you don't have an accountant many will give you a free first consultation on the hope of you employing them to do further work.
