Central Heating - You decide

Hi everyone,
We currently have no central heating in the new house. I have been looking at very stylish new oil filled electric radiators. I have been told that they are very efficient and very cheap to run. My question is...
Has anyone used them or have any thought so on them?
Would you be out off buying a house that did not have gas central heating?
Thanks !

I'd only consider electric heating in a new house if it ran on Economy 10, which is pretty hard to find!
That said, gas prices are unlikely to fall and might be considered as falling into the dinosaur era - at least when the natural fuels run out we'll still have wind and wave power.IT Field Service Engineer, 20 years with screwdriver and hammer
