My young son's best friend has recently emigrated to Australia and is now messaging via msn. My son 's friend is communicating through windows live video link, at present my son can see and hear his friend but not the other way around so I need to buy a web cam. I have no idea where to even start in terms of buying one and I am on a limited budget. Has anyone any recommendations of a web cam that would be suitable for my son to use.

Many thanks in advance:beer:

I guess pretty much any webcam would do and so it mostly comes down to your budget.

(I've got a personal preference for logitech when it comes to input devices, although I'm trying to work on my "brand loyalty" Achilles heel ;))

Thanks for your reply. How much do you think I would need to spend to get a reasonable one, it would really be just for my son's use, but I wouldn't want to get him one that was really poor quality.
