comparison sites

hello. I've been looking at the comparison sites, and they all say I'd be best off on British Gas click energy 5.

Two Questions:

Would this take into account yesterday's announcement about BG's rising prices? ie, are the comparison sites totally up to date on this?

and

2) If I did change to British Gas, should I go through the comparison site or Quidco for maximum cashback?

1. Its doubtful that the price rises have been taken into account yet but you would need to click on the detailed tariff information then compare it to the BG website to be sure.

2. Go with whatever method gives you the maximum cashback.

All these thousands of tariffs are SO confusing! I'm sure it's just to baffle their customers

I have a feeling that everyone will be following BG and putting their prices up... so in view of that, and the fact that BG ARE definitely putting theirs up (even if there seems to be a bit of a "delay" on the click energy 5 tariff) am I being BONKERS to go with BG at the moment?
