'Got a GSOH?Then come flirt with the hottest date in town!Travel up the aisle and down the highway of love with this energetic production of the hit musical comedy. From cringing first dates to bedtime shenanigans, the talented cast of eight journey through the highs and lows of love in this hilarious musical revue of the dating game.'
Hi, I went to see this and - what a laugh! Very talented young cast, great voices with live 3 piece band in a small venue. Really recommend it..0 -

What can I say, the show was extremely thought provoking, superb acting from the whole cast, the singing was great and if this show doesn't get a run somewhere after the Fringe then it will be a great shame.
As it featured Edinburgh's own Keith Jack my tendency was to be watching him and to some extent Niamh but you quickly realise that the real stars are indeed Gerald Bental and Cassidy Janson but the whole cast really were good throughout and you could feel their pain just by their faces.
Although set in the Second World War I found myself thinking that it really is still the same for our young soldiers no matter where in the world they are fighting now and because of this I found it very emotional and came out totally choked. So if you are looking for light entertainment then this isn't for you but if you want a good show and extrememly well acted then don't miss it.
And well done to Steve Marmion, the director, who introduced the show and as it was the very first performance told us to expect it to be a bit lumpy, it wasn't and I do hope it does well for you all.
Edited to add this link from the Evening News.
I so agree. Sooo good! I didn't realise that there's a fantastic live band up behind the back of the audience ( if you've been there, you'll know what I mean!) - and yes, it does make you think about recent wars and the damage they cause not only to the soldiers but to their families......0 -
Hiyas!
We're going to see Pete Firman's "FlimFlam" @ the Udderbelly (sic) tomorrow. With luck and tickets not going to Xandu or Timbuktoo, that is. I'm so excited, as I'm a huge Tommy Cooper fan...just like that....Magic & comedy - a divine combination.
PLEASE don't tell me if you've seen the show and hated it! lol
PS (ie, edit): Will post a review, but meanwhile what other folks are saying about this show:
'Definitely hot property' - The List. 'The MySpace generation's Tommy Cooper' - The Scotsman. 'Gob-smackingly talented' - Metro. ****The Herald ****Edinburgh Evening News ****Three Weeks ****Chortle ****The Independent ****The Metro

Recent audience reviews say:
"Dazzling fun 12 Aug 2008 / Pete is a jewel, makes me think how a juvenile Eric Morecambe might have been. His tricks are entertaining, sometimes gross, so well done, and very funny, as is he. You'll have a laugh and be wowed. I saw him last year, but it all seemed new material to me and he was just as good as I remembered him. I don't think his act will scale up in a large venue, so see him in this cave, and sit as near the front as you can. Top showman, top act. (Pete - yes you are much younger than me!)"
"well worth a watch 08 Aug 2008 / propa funny gezza .... and well talented. had a right laugh . go see this"
"Good stuff 04 Aug 2008 / Blend of magic and jokes. Definitley worth a viewing. Top performer, if you haven't seen him before you should try and fit this in."Still waiting for Dyson to bring out a ride-on hoover...Memberships:

Hi
Which seating areas were good or bad for the Chinese State Circus hoping to book for next weekend.
Thanks0 -
Granstand or ringside. The side view and limited viewing have a really bad view. It costs more but definately worth it. Id turn up early tho as its not reserved seats. Its first come first served in each section. xx0/2013

REVIEW: We LOVED it! Firman is a great entertainer, sending up Darren Brown and sprinkling throughout lovely passing references to Tommy Cooper, as sort of hommage to the late-great one. The hr-long show flew by and we wanted MORE. Pete obliged and added another 10 minutes. Super show.Still waiting for Dyson to bring out a ride-on hoover...Memberships:

Just been to the chinese state circus and it was fab, kept DS2 quiet for 2 hours.
Get there at least 1/2 hour before it starts to get good seats.
Only downside is the price of their novelties they sell , pretty expensive.
There is tokens for 1/2 price seats available, usually in some shops / attractions in Edinburgh / surrounding area.
Personally go for the 2 more expensive seats as this is much better view.
Prices with 1/2 price tickets is Adult 5.00/7.50 /10.00/13.50 children are 3.50/5.00/7.50/10.000
