Just Electric

I live in a village where there is no gas supply. We have electric storage heaters, which we hardly use as we have open fires and log burners, and an emersion heater for the hot water which come on for an hour in the morning and 2 1/2 hours in the evening.

I'm with british gas, not sure which tariff, its a 3 ded cottage with 2 people living in it.

My question is with all the fuel rises who and what tariff is the best to go with and are there any deals that benefit someone who is only on electric.

In all honesty, I'd wait and see what all the other suppliers do before you switch, I'm with BG and a few days ago signed up for Price Guarantee 2009 (with a 9.8% overall increase), I'm also electric only, now with the Electricity going up by 9%, I've now capped my price till 2011 which even though the prices going up makes me better off :D

You could stay with BG and fix your prices till September 2011, no better product out there at the moment anyway.

If you don't use the storage heaters at night, you won't benefit from cheap rate Economy 7 electricity to heat them up.

Do you know what tariff you're currently on?
