Help, need ideas to meet fundraising target

Hello,

A friend of mine is raising £1500 for Guide Dogs (RNIB) but is struggling to reach his target by the deadline.

We will be holding an events day at work, including a raffle, cake selling but are strugglin to get any further ideas together by next Friday.

I am currently working on an Auction of Promises (people bid for services such as 3 hours babysitting or 1 hour gardening etc) and a silent auction involving local businesses but may not have enough time to get these in place.

If any one has any other ideas that are quick and easy I would be most grateful for any suggestions.

The quickest way to get reasonable amounts is IME to do a street collection. Call up your local council and see about getting permission and get info from your charity proving that you're doing something for them. Unfortunately I doubt you'll be able to get that done in time.

You could try going round local businesses and seeing if they'll donate. It sounds like you're doing everything else. Sorry I'm not much use!
