macca, print off the T&C's re: the cash back, cos when the offer goes, they go as well.
Last time the offer vanished, I phoned CPW and was given duff info by the CSA. as to how to claim so it's well worth keeping a record.

For future reference I have copied them below:

    Terms and Conditions
This offer is subject to credit status and connection to a 12 month agreement to 3.

The tariff and additional bundle options selected may not be changed after connection.

The 12 months £4.99 offer is only available on the Talk + Text 600 tariff.

Customer pays the normal line rental of £30 per month but will receive their money back by the redemption process listed below.

3 Months ½ price line rental (worth £45) will be automatically added to your bill from 3.

There are 2 redemption processes to this offer, send your 6th month bill within 28 days of receiving it and receive chequeback for £105.00, and then send your 12th bill within 28 days of recieving it and recieve chequeback for £150.00.

To claim your chequeback please send your 6th and 12th bills to:

    Nokia 7600 '3' redemption offer
    Cheque back
    Carphone Warehouse Support Centre
    1 Portal Way
    North Acton
    London
    W3 6RS

Please note that your airtime bills must be sent within 30 days of receipt to claim your chequeback.

Please note you will only be eligible to both cheques if you send your airtime bills at 6 months and 12 months, if you only send your 6th bill you will only receive a cheque for £105.00 after the 6 months, and on the same condition, if you only send the 12th airtime bill then you will only receive a cheque for £150.00.
  • reestit, you left out another important aspect of this deal, a way to save another £20!!!

cpw give you the option of trading in an old phone, and offer you £10 for the phone, £5 for a charger and £5 for a manual, oferring a total saving of £20.

If you opt in for this rebate scheme, they send you a freepost jiffy bag along with the phone you purchase, and you can send them back an old mobile, charger and manual, and I've been told they will send you a cheque for £20. Ive just sent my old phone off today. I dont know how fussy they are about the oldness of the phones, and whether the charger and manual have to match the phone though.

I was only offered a maximum of £10 back.

    £5 phone; £2.50 charger £2.50 manual

And they would not accept a copy manual so they have e-mailed me to say thery can only pay me £7.50 - that was two weeks ago and I haven't received anything yet :(

Thanks for the tip - have printed them off - they're b****s aren't they - don't want to make it too easy do they?
Can I ask one more question what happens if I cancel after the 12 months - do I have to return to the handset, can the handset then be connected to any provider even pay as you go?
    Many thanks
    Macca
  • I know its probably too early, but has anyone received their phone yet on the £4.99 monthly deal?

you dont have to return the handset. After the 12 months contract its yours.

You can unlock your handset and use it as PAYG on any network.

You can unlock this handset for free here:

Because I ordered it yesterday over the internet about 2.30pm and I just checked the status it still says that its awaiting processing........

  • Macca, did you order it from CPW or e2save?

I ordered from e2save and chose the deliver to my place of work and its saturday tomorrow! So for the first time in my life I hope something will take a couple of days to be delivered!
