Well, I have just spoken to Scottish Power and they said they have pulled their Energy Saver 1 and 2 packages.

I'm currently on Energy Saver 4 online. I asked about fixing my prices and it would cost me just under 50% MORE to fix my electricity. Which means there would have to be a huge increase in standard prices (even more than there has been) for me to even break even in 12 months.

Capping/fixing isn't always the best way, you need to think very carefully and do some calculations first. So, I'd say DON'T RUSH INTO IT, even with all the scaremongering.
