Can you get a capped plan if you pay by cheque monthly?
I'm trying to see if it's possible for my nan (age 83) to get a cap without paying by monthly direct debit. She had a bad experience with DD in the early days and now refuses to do it.
I'm willing to pay the DD from my bank account (I have a different address), but can't get through to Scottish Power or E-on to see if they will allow this.
Does anyone have a similar experience?
Thanks for any ideas.

you will have to have your gran with you when you want to set it up, but you can use your bank account.
All the capped/fixed offers I have seen are by dd only.LBM:j -16/06/04
