John Lewis Price match, great stuff :)

Just a quick post to say how impressed I was with John Lewis last week.

I was looking at TV's, and noticed that JL had the set I was looking at, for £100 more than the Comet just down the road*, so I enquired about their "under sales" offer, to be told they would have to check and would ring me but it would take a day or two.

The price at Comet went up overnight, but John Lewis still matched the price I'd seen (I suspect they must have got someone out that day).
So in the end, not only did they match the price, but gave me their standard 5 year guarantee and delivered it free.

Very impressive service from them, I'd always thought they'd try to wriggle out of the undersales thing, but they didn't and were great.

Top marks to them.


*I'm very wary of buying from Comet, as i've had a few problems with them in the past.

I recently bought two large items from John Lewis, they were delivered on seperate days (as they were ordered at different times) delivered within a week of ordering and they telephoned on the day to give a time guide for the delivery so I wasn't tied in all day. Great service and competitive prices.
