Spam email query

Hi, can anyone help?

I sometimes get spam seemingly from my own personal email account. Doesn't show as sent from my PC but is an identical address.

Any ideas as to how this can be?

Probably someone who has spamming malware on their PC and happens to have your email address in their Contacts list.

The malware uses these as the sending addresses so that the infected person doesn't see delivery failures which would alert them to the infection.

id do a quick scan of your own system but no i wouldnt worry i expect most people have seen this at one time or another

some spam is very clever

I've had loads of these before and then I think to myself...hang on, I didn't send anybody an Angelina Jolie XXX video!
