OK the DIL decided to thump her laptop, now Vista Basic will not load.
Unable to boot to OS cannot boot in safe mode. No recovery CD.
I think it may be a HDD failure. Just booted Ubuntu HH from CD, Is ther any program on linux that can trooble shoot a HDD?
BTW I have no error code for the BSOD due to the fact that it flashes up quickly then reboots....

Thanks BT, its definatley HD failure, when I try to access the drive in linux it comes up with Unable to mount location.
I will check the Uboot CD now see I can't recover anything before it goes back for a replacement.To travel at the speed of light, one must first become light.....0
