Best instant access account for £4000

Can anyone help me find an easy to use instant access account for £4000 for my daughter.
Hopefully she will be able to add to this but at the moment needs to have easy access in case of emergencies.
She doesn't want to bank online.

Money£acts has a list of Best Buy savings accounts (plus other financial products).

Thanks for the help. As she didn't want to bank on line we went for the Cash Isa option.

  • ??? Is she a tax payer? Because if not you may find that the tax free benefits of a mini cash isa are wsted and there are a couple of other accounts just as good
    1. ING- which you can pay into by post (currently paying 5% on balances and interest is paid after just 3 days) and can talk to them by phone as well as online if she decides to go that way later on and
    2. Drip feed a small amount into a regular savings account eg £10.00 per month to develop good habits and if you go with someone like the Coventry they have additional enhancements to the interest rate when you have been with them long enough.

Did you look at M&S mini cash isa? It is rarely listed in the Best Buy tables but is in fact just that!
