Just a thought, don't we get some sort of windfall in a few months?

I have never earned as much money as i do now (which is still not much) and have never been as skint and im not talking about not going to the pub skint, im talking about not eating properly skint, i dont overspend on anything and dont have any loans or credit cards other than my business loan, so i know things are alot worse than the offical figures. My heart realy goes out to people in debt and mortgages at the moment cause i know they will be suffering worse than me. In one way im lucky cause i rent but i have a yearly increase which is based upon inflation so im pooping my pants at the mo.0

Oh, do we ? probably get taxed on that though, there's bound to be a hidden agenda somewhere though

Come to think of it Runnybabbit is there an actual difference between being in a recession and the whole country thinking we are in a recession?
Yes. Sentiment is a trailing indicator. Things have to go bad before people think things have gone bad."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

I believe our tax codes will be changed soon to reflect the increase in personal allowance....
With ZTD on the inflation front...never heard so many lies in my life....if everything I buy has gone up so much in price, a sub-5% inflation figure is utter tripe....which is what we may be eating before too long. For what I've done...I start again...And whatever pain may come ...Today this ends... I'm forgiving what I've done -AF since June 20070 -
Is this something that can be controlled for instance tax cuts to increase personal spending to boost the economy or will it just run its natural course? It looks like we are a long way off from price increases slowing down so i wonder where we will end up. I know life goes on despite what is happening to the economy but it seems like its going to be a really rough ride0

Boom is like inhaling, bust is exhaling. You can't inhale all the time without exploding.

I think a very rough ride would be an understatement, if the mortgage rate does go up then we are in a proverbial ! At some point something will have to be done but whatever it is, I only hope it comes sooner rather than later

I agree i hope its sooner too but as this is a global problem and we are all fighting for the same grain and fuel i dont see how things are going to get better. Poor global economy, enviromental problems, wars, i mean when is it going to end? We are such a small country as well how much international clout do we still have?0
