Hi There,
I am currently with EDF Energy and had my annual review were my dual fuel has jumped £20 per month, when following martins advice I cant find a cheaper supplier than what I am current on. I am on Price Saver 2008 Standard DD for electricity and Price Saver 2008 Dual Fuel DD for gas which is due to end in September. Any recommendations as to what I should do would be much appreciated.

Without going into the specifics of your supplier, its worth thinking in general.
All standard variable deals are going up now and online tarriffs probably in a few weeks. Capped deals based on old pricing are being replaced with deals based on the new pricing, so are considerably more expensive than yesterday.
The choice is either wait until your deal has expired and the market settled a bit and either cap then with something based on new pricing, or cap today (now) on the 1 deal still available from scottish power.
I'm on an old click online tarriff from BG and i've just gone to scottish power. This will cost 10% more but i think the expected rise in click will be much higher, perhaps 25-30%. Also its worth remembering that people predict prices will rise again, perhaps in January. Therefore any fixed deal has that extra protection.0
