Energy Efficient Canle Light Bulb help please

Hi
In my lounge I have a ceiling light fitting and 2 wall lights, these all take standard bayonet fitting candle bulbs, does anyone know if you can buy energy efficient candle bulbs that are the same size as the standard bulbs, all of the ones I have seen are much bigger (wider and longer) that the standard bulb and wont fit in my lights because they have a glass shade/diffuser (cylindrical type of thing) that goes around them. Dont really want to have to change my light fittings but as these fittings take 7bulbs I thought I might be able to save a few pennies by changing to more efficient ones

many thanks
Jim

I have both the screw type and bayonet candle bulbs in the two downstairs rooms dining room and living room, they are more or else the same size unlike many others you see like Philips

I do find they are slightly less bright than the incandescent bulbs and do take a few minutes to warm up

the ones you have, are these the ones found by Browntoa, I think is was the phillips ones I looked at in asda and there was no way they would fit the shades on our lights, also tried one of the little normal lightbulbs but it was too big as well so it looks like I need one that is same size

    thanks

Yes I got the ones Browntoa shown megaman tend to be the ones are are as near as damn it the same size as normal bulbs

I got quite a few candle, r40 spots and gu10's they do take a couple of minutes to warm up, and had I got candles again I got slightly few watts up than the normal bulbs as I found it very slightly darker than the previous bulbs say instead of 9w go for 11w etc but thats just what I think. They do seem very bright the bulbs in my living room 3 of them compared with 5 in the living room but it is a bigger room

B&Q sell them I got mine from http://www.edmundson-electrical.co.uk/ electrical trade place but you can go in they had a stand where you could test them and they were reasonably priced, we have had them since last Sept
