That made me laugh out loud !, I know what you mean, I see the Postman out the window and ten minutes later I get my mail and there are only two houses down our road so havent a clue what he does with the other 9 minutes !!0 -
IF anyone thinks of getting the Land snails..They take more looking after than you might think, they need to be kept in stable temps, be cleaned alot..etc etc etc
Also, I agree with hm71 - that they do carry viruses, and there can be flies very quick..
btw dont have them anymore..
Oo and it doesnt hurt them in the post, I had mine ages ago and they were secured in a cake case tub with soil with holes then another box with holes, and they came special delivery. When they are babies they are tiny absolutley tiny so there okay.

I had 2 african giant land snails as pets when i was younger. they died when my auntie opened my bedroom door and knocked my tuba onto the their tank - smashed one the smitherins and the other one dies a week later....of shock we think!
great pets though. Always got the girls squeemish at show and tell years ago! haha0 -
Maybe he is a bit friendly with your other neighbour, we've got a house down our road and the postman seems to always nip inside for a few minutes. if its illegal to post any live animal, why is you can buy live crickets etc to feed to reptiles, and many "tortoise shops" will post the animals to you? also there is a dog breeder in plymouth that ships worldwide!due to spilling coffee :coffee: on my keyboard it works when it wants to :rotfl:
