Hi all, first time on this part of forum and still newbie overall, so please advise if this is in wrong place on board.
My sister in law has given my son a laptop, but there is no battery, there is a mains lead so can be used, but driving him mad not being able to move from one spot! My sister in law said she did once buy a battery off ebay but it didn't work, and thinks it's not worth buying a battery, would be cheaper for me to buy new laptop for him. Can anyone who knows about these laptops please HELP!
IS IT WORTH IT? AND WHERE TO GET ONE????

the model of laptop is:
Sony PCG-6C1M
If this isn't enough info please ask. Thanks in advance for any help or advise!

A quick Google search gave me http://www.laptopsandspares.com/acatalog/Sony_Vaio_PCG-C1_Laptop_Battery.html at £50 (I assume plus postage but still cheaper than a new laptop. Not sure if it's the right one, but they do have an 0800 telephone number so should be able help.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:
Any posts are my opinion and only that. Please read at your own risk.0 -
The batteries seem to be about £70, if it is an old laptop it might be better value to just buy a different laptop. I can't seem to find information about the laptop model, you seem to have given the model number of the screen, rather than the laptop. So if you can find the model name that would help. I think it is a VIAO, but the actual model name should be written somewhere around the keyboard.I don't believe and I never did that two wrongs make a right0

THANKS
It says on the babk of laptop on sticker " sony model pcg-6c1m personal computer etc.", on top of the front it does have "vaio", can't see anything around the keyword just "SONY".0
