Confused

Hello, I'm a newbie here so go easy...

Anyways, is it just me or is figuring out the cheapest utility company the most complicated thing ever?

All I know is that I on a standard tariff with Npower for gas and electricity and that we pay via direct debit. The house has 6 people living including 4 teenagers so I guess we use quite a bit of energy but I'm not too sure how much.

I've been looking at the Scottish power price capping tariifs but I can't make out anything. The pdf literally has hundreds of different prices- I'm just so confused.

Can anyone please help me figure out the prices or tell me if its remotely worth changing providers assuming that Npower will increase its prices too. Thanks people.
