Any advice on cheap car hire?

Hi! I need to hire a car in the UK for a weekend at the end of August. Can any one recommend a good hire company with reasonable prices? By the way I'm not exactly sure what is reasonable (my budget is £60/70). I'm based in the East Midlands. Any advice would be valued. Thanks!

Book it for a Saturday they will drop it off Friday and collect Monday.

All you have to do if fill the thing back up with fuel...

we always use 1car1 prices start at approx £20 a day, never had any problems with then they deliver/collect the car.

I managed to to get some good weekend deals through europcar and enterprise. On their websites, there are links to their weekend specials which can cost as little as £10/day. Enterprise will also pick you up and drop you home.
