issue with a discount from Npower
I was due a discount from Npower in May 08 for £20 because i had been with them for a year. In May, instead of getting the discount, i got a letter saying it would be applied to my next bill. The bill isnt due yet. Like everyone at the moment, I want to try and switch providers but am concerned that if i do this, because it will be a mid term bill (ie a final bill) the discount wont show and i may lose it. Does anyone have any experience of this?
Thanks
Thanks

We got back £230 from N power when we swapped suppliers .Wasnt any problem with them at all. It was what they had been over charging us for the year .0

I'm in the same position.
I should have had the discount applied in May but hadn't received the bill. I phoned up a couple of days ago and asked, very clearly, at least twice, that the discount has already been added and that when I switch this discount will still remain. I also gave her updated meter readings and asked her to calculate my bill based upon those readings and provide me with the amounts. She said I will receive an updated bill within 10 days.
I'm in credit on both accounts and so I asked the lady (I also took her name and logged the call date / time) what npower could do to stop me from moving to another provider and how any of the money they owe me could be withheld.
She said nothing would be put in my way and that I will recieve the account balances when the switch goes through.
Whats the betting that it doesn't quite go as smoothly as I hope.
Good luck.0
