Scottish Power - 5 hr + wait for quote
Options
Hello
I have been waiting for a quote and phone call back from SP for 5 hours and counting  . I rang SP back 2 hours ago to tell them I have not heard from anyone and I asked them to put me through to the relevant department, they said they did not have the number. Just wondered if anyone on the forum can beat that time.

I've just signed up to the fixed 2009 online tarrif. Went through via the main Scottish Power website as the quidco link no longer works unfortunately.
Took me less than five minutes from start to finish.
Click 'quote and apply' on following link:

Cant get on the main Scottish power web page now or through any cash back sites . Every one and their mother must be switching .0

They don't seem to be good at eh call back thing. I kept trying the website and noticed earlier that 0800 number had been removed, later 0800 408 1641 appeared. Initail response from call cntre person makes me think that's usually the outbound team and as SP swamped they have gone inbound. Folk there very helpful once through to them.
There's also 0800 400 200 as customer service number, given out once you are signed up.0 -
Just managed to fill it all in now on line . Like every one else i am going to pay a bit more but not as much as it would have been if i hadnt gone on capped .0

Tried that 1st didn't work  not the only one having problems as you can see on this forum.
I've sent them an official complaint by e-mail, quess what, it takes 5 working days for a response. :T
As you can see I don't have a great impression of SP, so far.0 -
Just to update you all - I waited a total of 27 hours for a quote and then I got another call repeating themselves 2 hours later - totally clueless. I got some satisfaction when I told them I was no longer interested as I had capped with someone else.0

I registered with Scottish Power On Monday (Just before BG announced their rise). The website worked OK then, now it runs like a dog.
Did anyone get an acknowledgment e-mail from SP? I am getting concerned that the request will be lost in the deluge of people fixing their deals!
I notice that Top Casback are as least following up on the £72 cashback so this may be a good sign?0
