That fact they've been suspended won't affect the transaction as such, but you have to wonder why they've been suspended (any clues from feedback?)
I would be slightly worried that they are a scamster, in which case they could try starting a credit card or paypal chargeback to get their money back. Was the paypal transaction covered by the Seller Protection Policy? How did you send the phone?0 -
I sent the phone by special delivery and yes it said i was covered by seller protection policy what ever that means.masonic wrote:That fact they've been suspended won't affect the transaction as such, but you have to wonder why they've been suspended (any clues from feedback?)

hopefully you'll be ok,
unfortunatley, theres a fair chance that you'll get a 'fraudulant transaction' notice within a few days on paypal
you've got the guys addy, go to 192.com and give him a bell if you can, all may be OK
i've been here before, royalmail WONT allow you to stop the parcel, money saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)

I checked and the phone was delivered this morning i sent it special delivery so checked online.
It said address confirmed so can it still be a scammer?
Sorry to be so stupid but ive only sold a few small price things before so this is all new to me.

In that case, you are in a very good position. The seller protection policy protects you against fraudulent transactions and false claims that an item was not received. In theory, as long as you can prove the item was delivered (using the special delivery tracking number) you will not have to foot the bill if there is a chargeback. You might want to read through the policy here.jammy123 wrote:I sent the phone by special delivery and yes it said i was covered by seller protection policy what ever that means.
Edit: I should probably point out that the only thing not covered by the policy is a chargeback for "goods not as described". I think it is far more likely that if you end up facing a chargeback over this it will be due to a fraudulent transaction (i.e. credit card fraud) as bleugh suggests and paypal protection covers this.0 -
Thank you both for your help.
So it seems i just have to wait and see if the money comes through okay,or wait till i hear from paypal. Is that right?0 -
Yes. Hopefully you will hear nothing, but it doesn't hurt to be prepared. By "wait and see if the money comes through okay", do you mean you are withdrawing it to your bank account? Just a little confused by what you mean by this.jammy123 wrote:Thank you both for your help.
