Scottish Power Customer Service

Actually got through quite quickly...15mins on the 0800 400 200 number.
Lad at the other end was very helpful.
Said that 2009 fixed had been removed from the website but was available by phone and removal wasn't imminent.
Also said that switching via thirdparty can take a few days longer (up to 5) but SP would honour the switch if the deal was subsequently removed.
Got is name and operator number to quote in the future just in case.
Feeling a lot happier now.
BTW ScotPower fixed is only about £100 pa (7%) more than EON online dual fuel for me and with the cashback (if it comes) I hopefully will be very happy come Wintertime

Oddly enough I just got through on a number (0800 408 1641) that I'm sure is different to that shown this morning on their website.
Now transferred to SP, lovely Scottish accents as well, even if names were very sub-continent.
They have to charge me a higher than current DD for 1st 6 months, but after that it might drop as their initial calculation was close to current npower prices (odd but true). But then we are not high users, or even close to the usual averages quoted in the press and various moneysaving websites.
Also cheaper to use online billing once I'm set up, so they claim.
If it gives one year buffer against price rises maybe we can stash the spare for more fleeces, thick socks & woolly jumpers for winter 09/10!0
