Barclays Website 15.00 hrs

Hi has anyone been able to get on to Barclays online banking - it seems the site is down, anyone else having problems?

I've been getting this since this morning. I can get onto the page where you put the code in from the PINsentry, but after that I either get a Barclays' error page, or a server busy page.

I just tried www.ibank.barclays.co.uk, i get this:

Service Unavailable

The server is too busy to respond to your request. Please try again later.

How very strange.

I have not been able to use the HSBC site all afternoon - I get the message that I must try later.

I have also had problems most of the day trying to get into Barclays. Anyone know what the problem is with them today or is it just a computer problem!!!!!! I got in once about 10 minutes ago but when i clicked on to my account it just gave an error message again - so couldn't do what i wanted to do.

I've only just managed to log in.

This new message on the log in page may be an explanation:

Log-in changesAs a result of your feedback, we've made some changes to log-in.
• If you don’t save your membership number when logging in you can enter either all 12 digits or 10 digits ignoring the ‘20’ at the start of the membership number.
• If you log-in with PINsentry, you'll see that on step 2 we've split the 8-digit code box to reflect how the code is displayed on the card reader.
• Message last updated on 29 July 2008.

Last post irrelevant. It's not the new login procedure that is the problem. The problem is getting the page to even appear. I suspect it has something to do with the re-vamp but I can't get in (Monday from1000 until now, 12.30)

He's usually quick to answer queries.

It's not working for me either. How funny that the original post for this was almost exactly a year ago to the day. Barclays have recently relaunched their site, I got an email from them today telling me how wonderful their new online banking service is, and yet I can't get online! Very frustrating.
