Hi i hope someone can help me im going nuts here with frustration.
i have a tom tom go 910 sat nav device. for some reason the application has wiped off the device. i have under the advice of tom tom set up tom tom home on my computer. But when i plug the sat nav into my laptop to do the updates necessary to get it working again my windows vista laptop wont recognise the usb device. i have gone to device manager and tried to update driver software and it says all software up to date. However i dont actually think any tom tom drivers are downloaded to my computer. Does anyone know where i can get drivers for my tom tom go 910 device drivers. Have looked on the tom tom web site and their is nothing obvious that i can click on.
hope someone can help me on this. i could manually back up but need the computer to recognise the device first i can then fix the problem of tom tom not working
Thanks sarah xx

The sat nav should have come with a CD containing the drivers.0

this "might" be worth a try...the tomtom wont have usb drivers on the cd supplied as the unit uses windows standard USB drivers

I have exactly the same problem as the original poster.
My tomtom Go 910 has mysteriously wiped itself and so there is now no longer anything at all contained on the device. Windows will not recognise the device and no attempts to reinstall drivers does any good. Vista still reports "usb device not recognised".
I have managed to get a reply from tomtom customer support, but we are in the very early stages and they are telling me to backup the device to the pc (not possible because the pc does not recognise the tomtom "brick"). I don't hold out much hope to be honest as reports are that tomtom customer service is not that great.
Having paid over £380 for this device almost 3 years ago I have pretty much resigned myself to using it as a doorstop and paying £69.99 for an amazing offer of a Navman F10 with UK and European maps.
If I get anywhere with tomtom customer support I will let the original poster know
best wishes

ps: A general question to all readers ...... has anyone else noticed a higher than average incidence of all manner of electrical items malfunctioning lately? (It seems like everything in my household is going wrong at the moment)0
