Is that what you're looking for, a TV sender? Although Maplin aren't the cheapest.

I think the problem is you're looking for multiple inputs to the video sender; it'd work if there's just one from the Sky box or DVD player. The alternative is to split and run an aerial cable from the just before where it enters the TV. Although you'd lose the remote control function, but there are remote control extenders around.

    Video Sender

    Remote Control Sender

I've done a little bit of searching and there doesn't appear to be a way to send multiple inputs through one video sender, automtically and remotely.

If the sky o/p [RF2] is cabled to your bedroom then that cable could be connected to your DVD recorder RF In then RFOut to TV [Tune the DVD recorder & it should pickup all the channels + Sky O/P] -- Also scart on DVD connected to TV -- You would also need a Marmitek Powermid or similar to change channels on your sky box from upstairs -- Dave

Well, I tried this once, I bought a video sender from Asda and successfully connected it to the output of our sky box.

The only problem I had is that the picture quality wasn't brilliant I'm sure you could have got a better pic with a better quality box. (mine cost £30)

The sky box had a scart input and I connected the DVD player to that, basically that means that if the DVD is on it takes over the signal to the TV.

When I bought the video sender (works over wireless 2.4Ghz range) it came with a cable I plug into the sending unit that had 3 "eyes" which you place over the remote control sensors, this meant you can use the remote upstairs to control the units from upstairs, I also bought a universal remote control so I could keep the ones I had before downstairs.

so if I'm upstairs and wwant to watch a DVD, I put the DVD in the player and use the remote to put the player on standby.

Upstairs you can use the remote to watch whatever is on the sky box and when you want to watch a DVD turn it on, the only problem with this setup is that it mirrors what is on downstairs. if you wanted to watch a DVD upstairs and sky downstairs you have to plug the DVD player directly into the sender and the sky box into the TV.

Just so you know what experience I had with this.
