Advise needed please

Hi there,
Sorry everyone, i'm looking for a post by a guy with credit card debt, apparently it's about 8 pages long but i'm up to about page 12 and still can't find it!

My mums just said to me today that she's in a lot of debt bless her and she's scared to tell my step dad so i wanted to know what this chap done about his debt.
she's in a bit of a state, apprently the bank has called her today to tell her that the minimum payment for her C/C can not be paid because she's up to her overdraft and she's up to her limit on her c/c's and she can't apply for anything else because she's tried and has been refused!
All in all she said it's about 20K in debt.
I'm currently looking through the loans threads in case it's on there, but also i'm going to look on the national debt line wesite as well.

Any comments from you guys would be gratefully received.  :'(

Update, have read through all of the mentioned post, very helpful but Mums problem seems to be a lot worse as it's more money, same principle i suppose but ..............well you know!

I have Pm'd Martin about this as well and he has also advised to spek to the National debt line so that will be our next move.

I suggest you start by reading this and then head over to the "Loans and Debts" board where you will find many people in similar situations. That's the best place to ask questions about debt and there are some very helpful people who answer questions there.

Several charities will give free detailed advice and even help negotiate with lenders.
