BG to announce price increase

We knew it was on it's way, but I believe British Gas will be announcing a price increase today or tomorrow. :mad:

I don't have any further details unfortunately!

Unfortunately I'm with them and I'm struggling to get my head around swapping to capped at the moment....

I just tried to call their call centre and the lines are down due to a team brief lasting 2 hours I suspect they are getting ready for the barrage of ditch & switch calls...

I applied (hopefully successfully, the bod on the phone said it had gone through OK) for Price Protection December 2009 this morning. This will be the first time in ages I have switched without cashback (I was already with BG on Click Energy 5). I checked my usage and by my calculations it's approx 15% increase so my reasoning was the impending rise would be more than that, anyway, with more to come. Looks like that has proved prophetic. We'll see...
