Glad it all sorted for you but I wouldnt have gave in to them - I would have demanded a refund or a replacement. Luckilly i have two Argos' near me so if I have probs at 1 then I just go to the other!!
I bought magnetix in the sale on monday, reduced from £30 to £15, the very next day it went down to £10 so I went back, reciept and magnetix, asked for a refund and the bloke almost refused as I had told him honestly what i wanted a refund for!!! He ummed and arrred for a while but i politely pointed out that i was within my rights to bring something back within 28 days, if i wasnt happy with it, bla bla bla - his response 'but i dont think that counts when you want to return it after its been reduced again' Again i politely pointed out that i was within my rights to bring something back but was happy to talk to somone more senior as i didnt have the time to be standing around. She came straight over, i explained why i wanted a refund and she said, ''fine, refund the lady'' While i am aware that he was doing his job i do think that maybe he should have just queried the manager, alone and maybe he would not have neded up looking like a [EMAIL="tw@t"]!!!!!![/EMAIL]! needless to say he didnt look up from the till after that (giggles)
