I love all the sugestions- it makes my own wrapping look very boring.
What I suggested for my daughters was to wrap presnts for their freinds in squares of pretty fabric - twist and tie with gold cord.
It looked very expensive and was easy to do .
That sounds like a fab idea, and offcuts of material are ten a penny, i'm gonna give that a go this year, cheers for the tip ;D ;DNobody can make you feel inferior, without your permission

160 - I did a 'pass the parcel' for my son when he was about 10 as he had a lot of little presents. Wrapped up smallest then added a present and wrapped that etc. Was a huge parcel in the end and he was thrilled when he realised it wasn't just one present. He got a surpise every layer and of course it meant no fiddly wrapping.
Thanks for the idea - this year I've got my daughter alot of dressing up things but their all little items. I wasn't looking forward to wrapping them but this would make it more fun! Best of all I can put her main gift (a genie costume) in the centre of it all ;D
Now I'm starting to get excited againCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
hi folks i use alsorts of containers for gifts once i used a comfort bottle to put a silk blouse in i save pringle tubes ect you can decorate them or use as they are its a great way of disguising things to causes quite a few laughs as well

and why not. ;D i love xmas. was dreading this year, but actually think it may be ok.0

I still am dreading it up to a point.
Christmas at our house is open house - we often have loads of guests for tea and no matter where else my mum got invited she always came to my house (she liked my food!). Bit worried about tea-time (as mum died in August) but think we will probably try and make it a 'reminiscing' type afternoon (two of my sisters are def coming round) and have a laugh with all the kids.
I'm sure you'll be okay 160 - make sure you don't try not to talk about your hubby and you will get through. A bit sad but remember all the good things.Mink0 -
thanks. i feel bit better since i accepted it was going to be hard, and have decided boxing day we will go en masse to the grave. i also lost my gran earlier this year, so have some comerarderie in my grandad, who'll be facing his first xmas alone too.0
